Sorry, Brian. While you are correct that I don't like Barry Bonds, you are incorrect that I would probably like him if I met him. Now, if I met him and he DIDN'T cuss me out for having the nerve to politely ask him for his autograph, sure, I might like him then. But when I DID meet him back in 1993, he DID cuss me out for asking for an autograph.

So yes, people hated him long before he started using steroids. Back then, the only reason to hate him was that fact that he was a jerk. Then he became a cheating jerk. Oh well.

But the things I wrote here about his stats had nothing to do with whether I like him or not. Barry wants us to believe he is persecuted because people don't like him, but let's face it: there is overwhelming evidence that he took steroids, and there is overwhelming evidence that his steroids are the reason he has a chance to break Hank Aaron's record this year. Even if he was the nicest guy in the world, that would be true.

I've met Barry Bonds personally and while I understand you hate him I just have to say he's a really sincere and nice guy in person, from personal experience. He's awesome with Kids and does a lot to give back to the community. And the SF Bay Area loves him. No kidding seriously I have no reason to love Barry Bonds but if you meet him you'd probably like him.

The truth is people have disliked Barry far before the Steroids allegations it just gave them another reason to hate him.

He hasn't been convicted of anything and will most likely break the record. Theres really nothing anybody can do other than watch history being made.

Hey, by some weird Google search, I found my article linked on your blog, and thought I'd have a read. I don't necessarily agree with it, but you're welcome to your opinion.

I'm in Philadelphia and will be attending Sunday night's Giants-Phillies game. Hopefully, Bonds is at 713 or 714 and hits one while I'm there.

Glad you found my article good enough to be linked to -- keep reading! http://blogs.foxsports.com/ultramegaok1988
